Hello, I’m Riley Ater, a film student at George Mason University. My focus is on storytelling through the lens of a camera.

 

I began my photography journey three years ago, hoping to lay the groundwork for cinematography. I enjoy shooting videos and taking photographs of my travels, on sets, and for clients and friends.

 

The George Mason University program has provided me with a foundation in film theory and technical techniques. The new perspectives and ability to work hands-on with other creatives have expanded my knowledge.

 

In addition to my degree work, I’ve had the opportunity to work on student film sets and client work where I have learned how to communicate and collaborate with other storytellers, contributing to my development as a visual storyteller.
